

Today's strip is about "True Detective". I know, I'm late. I just finished watching it and made the above comic.
If you haven't watched it yet, stop what you're doing right now, and go watch it!
Despite a disappointing ending that lacked the expected dark quality present throughout the show (and losing its supernatural connotations), the series has cyclopean actors, gorgeous photography, an interesting narration scheme, and a very strong Lovecraftian tone and cosmicism philosophy.
Beyond the direct references to the Chambers/Bierce stories (among many other nerdy tropes), it's a must-see for anyone interested in a contemporary illustration of the mythos.
