Another S.F. giant is gone. Less known than Moebius, Jean Claude Mezières created, with his comic Valerian (from 1967 to 2010), a multi-used backgound for the last decades science fiction. His impact on Star Wars is widely recognized today, but his masterpiece, "The City of Shifting waters" defined the post-apocalypic and climate change imagery. Though he had not real connection with Lovecraft, this might fit here with his time/space travel obsession.
